There is a pasture near my house that is surrounded mostly by trees. It has a stream in the center where the pasture slopes down to the stream which then flows back into the trees where there is a larger creek.
I am sure many people drive by this little area and mostly pay it no mind at all because honestly, there is probably nothing exceptional about it that would make them take notice.
However, if one would sit for a minute to watch the sun rise over this pasture on certain mornings, they could be in for a treat. As the sun is rising and begins to slowly clear the trees to the left of this pasture, long shadows are cast across this pasture. This in itself is somewhat interesting because of the patterns cast upon the terrain.
However, as the sun rose on this particular late fall morning, the sunlight caught this small group of trees standing in front of the woods beyond. The way the sun was hitting them lit up the remaining leaves on these trees and made them glow.
I happened to be driving down this road on the way to a nearby gas station and saw what was happening just as it was beginning. I quickly pulled over and jumped out of the truck to run across the road to try to capture the moment.
It was funny because, as I stood there, I heard the noise behind me of numerous cars traveling the road. The moment was quite captivating and I wondered if any of the drivers had taken notice of the brief moment.
